mamishka hosted another entertaining Movie Night, attended by Liz and darthhellokitty and kingchiron and jiapa and spazzkat as well as those of us who live in the Murk. The movies of the evening were Battle Royale and Wasabi; I paid attention to the first but less to the second as I was busy writing at the time. And it made for a weird frame of mind, because I am here to tell ya that Battle Royale is a fucked up kind of movie. ;)
10.solarbird and I and probably also risu have Longest Night coming up, so I expect to be awake ALL NIGHT LONG from Sunday until Monday's dawn. Yay Longest Night!
11. My little sisterwildshadowstar IM'd me last night and we chatted some about what we want for Christmas. Becky, it seems, would like either Orlando Bloom or Dom, a young fellow I've seen mentioned over on enora's journal but whose last name I can't remember to save my life right now as I type this.
12. I have been paying less attention than I should to the Telgar Weyr website lately, but on the other hand, Kitty, the chick who's in the lead for driving the reopening for the club, is still being pretty distracted by having moved down to Arkansas with her shiny new fiance. So I kind of doubt we'll make the New Year for reopening the club. Which is not necessarily a problem in my book; we'll just have to see what happens.
13. Doing more automated testing at work, branching out a bit from BVTs and doing some Functionals testing as well. The interesting aspects of this mostly involve testing on different operating systems and getting into the nuts and bolts of the products I'm working with some more. Still kind of dry work, but intellectually engaging on some level at least.
14. Volt is handing out hockey tickets for a Seattle Thunderbirds/Portland Winterhawks game on my birthday! I thinksolarbird and I will be going to this.
14a. Volt also had a holiday party and handed out holiday gifts to employees. I didn't go so I didn't get the gift, though they are apparently available to be picked up. I wonder what said gift is.
15. Great Big Sea has sent out a notice of tour dates for next spring, none of which are in Seattle. CURSE YOU, teasing Newfoundlanders! Come back here and sing to me! Or at least get that next album out faster!
15a. Still need to look into getting that DVD. I hear rumors there is a shot of Alan Doyle without pants in the Home Movies reel. ;)
