solarbird and I went to "Horror in the Theater: An H.P. Lovecraft Triptych of Terror" put on by Open Circle Theater tonight. Definitely fun for Lovecraft fans. They did From Beyond, The Haunter in the Dark, and The Dunwich Horror as a trilogy of short pieces in this performance, and did them splendidly. Lots of eye-rolling and terrified, aghast expressions on the faces of the cast. And there were also puppets. On our way out of the theater I remarked to Dara and Paul that the whole thing had given me an urge to go home and read a forbidden volume, but once I got home it did occur to me that all of the volumes in our possession are, well, ours, so it's sorta hard for them to be forbidden.

In other news, I just cracked 14K with a word count now at 14,016. By the math I should have 13,336 to be on the bare miminum schedule to hit the goal, so I am now just shy of 700 words ahead! Hoping to hit 16K tomorrow and build up another day's worth of buffer.
