Fun! With! Elvis! Chords!
Jul. 2nd, 2002 11:57 pmI just love it when I make musical discoveries. :D Having yielded to the Lilo & Stitch-inspired desire to find and learn the tabs to "Suspicious Minds", I promptly zoomed up to Tabcrawler.com tonight and found said tabs -- and discovered that:
1) The chord progression of B7sus4 to B7 to Eminor, just before the bridge, is extremely yummy;
2) I actually discovered where to put a C6 by accident. I was trying to figure out how to pick out the guitar riffs at the beginning, and discovered I could sort of find the right notes by fingering G but moving my first finger from the second to the third strings. Wondered if I should do the same on the C chord that comes in under "I can't walk out" on the first verse... and moved my second finger up a string to try that. And inadvertantly discovered that that was Right, as it reproduced the yummy overtone I was hearing on the guitar right after Elvis sings "out". I could do a C6 there and it woudl fit quite nicely!
Go me! :D
