In Which Gyllerah Helps Azandar Chase Frayed Fates

Final January 2024 post for Gyllerah’s playthrough on ESO. This covers the final week of the month, but as with some of my other recent posts, I’m leaving out days when I just did writ work and resource harvesting and such.

Main action here: my first look at Falkreath Hold, getting the Ring of the Pale Order, and advancing the personal quest of Azandar al-Cybiades.

Infinite archive is easier to get further as a duo than solo - if one of you makes a mistake and dies, the other one can finish the fight and you haven't lost a life. I've made it to mid arc 7 as a duo more than once, never made it beyond the very start of 6 solo.

The dragons are a pain in the behind, especially the fire dragon who will do the frontal cone that covers half the arena followed immediately by a wing slap if you dodge out of the cone. There's definirely an RNG element to archive becaue some of the bosses and marauders are significantly harder than others.

Do you not have access to the transmute stations in ESO? They're invaluable - you only need to get a mythic once and then you can make as many copies as you want. They also allow you to change traits on set items to the trait you want. If you have ESO plus, you definitely have access - if not, you'll need the CLockwork City DLC specifically.

I DO have access to transmute stations via my guilds, and I have certainly been also making use of them. For that matter, I also do have the Clockwork City DLC. But getting to my guilds' HQs is easier and faster. :D

But using the stations does also of course require transmute crystals. I've recently picked up my pace of running Undaunted pledges as well as at least one random daily to pick those up.

But I'm allocating those to improving my trial gear right now. Working on improving my main's healer trial gear since Gyllerah's the one I run most often in trials, and a bunch of the pieces I have don't have good traits on them, so I've been transmuting them. Gyllerah's main trial gear set is almost done being converted, then I gotta work on her RoJo set that I've put together.

AND I want to work on Marwyth's DPS gear as well.

I am chronically short of transmute crystals. :D

(But that said thank you for the reminder about making copies of Mythics via the transmute station. I think I'd been told that before by guildmates, yeah. But working on improving my trial gear is higher priority right now.)

Ah, yes, the transmute crystal grind is real when you first start needing them. The daily undaunted random noraml is a must (and you can do it on different characters too - do it on 3 characters a day, that's 30 crystals. Do it on 5 and you get 50. Boring but fast!)

You also get 10 from the random daily battleground, but only if your team come first or second. So if you come third, you lost that 10-15 minutes of your life... Cyrodil Rewards For the Worthy is a fast way to earn them too if you can get a good group together in a campaign.

The Tales of Tribute repeatable quest reward coffers give them too.
