This just in
Oct. 18th, 2007 02:54 pmThe nurse at the breast center just called me up a little while ago to say that yesterday's biopsy report is this: NOT CANCER.
They did apparently find something called a papilloma, which is essentially a wart, and which they do recommend removing. But that's benign. This now means that as far as I understand it, the game plan will be to have Dr. Towbin take that out, clean up the margins around the previous area he worked on, and take out the sentinel node he wants to look at. I expect this will also mean I still need to have radiation therapy, but it'll be radiation therapy on a still-symmetrical bosom. I can work with this. It won't suck. Well, much. ;)
I have called his office to request a followup call about what they want to have happen next and when. More as I have it, folks!
