Brief check-in

I appear to have dropped off the face of LJ for the course of this week, folks--I've barely glanced at my Friends list, mostly because my brain has been eaten entirely by a) work, and b) frantically trying to put together my partial packages to send out to Bantam. I've been getting IMed and/or called with interesting new news and such, but if you've said something to me on your own journal that I might have missed, do please give me a shout. My Writer's Weekend writeup is still coming, but it's just moved down the queue a bit till after I can get the packets for Bantam put together. Thanks in advance for patience, folks! And big thanks as well to folks who are getting me the beta reading feedback back--irysangel, leian, chrysoula, and janne! I think I'll still be able to get Faerie Blood out the door, though I may be pushing it on Lament. I'm not quite done banging synopses out for books 2 and 3!

The interesting news is that jessicac just yesterday evening gave birth to her little girl Moira--big congrats to mother and daddy both on that! And I'm getting the word as well that emmacrew should also be following suit very soon now. ^_^

Aside from trying to get my partials together, solarbird, spazzkat, mamishka, and I all hope to go see Superman Returns at the Cinerama this Saturday afternoon. Because, yeah, you pretty much need the biggest screen possible to properly enjoy a Superman flick, and the word is coming in that this one is decent.
