Showing Yngvar Around, Day 5

Yesterday, we did our last round of touristy things with ravyngyngvar.

Dara and I saw safely Yngvar off to the airport this morning, and he told us he had a good trip, and that was all good. Wouldn't you just know, though, that the posters Yngvar had been promised by the Wizard of Speed and Time himself, Mike Jittlov, arrived today. After he left. Oops. The plan had been that they would arrive while Yngvar was here so that Mike wouldn't have to mail them all the way to Norway, but it didn't work out that way. Dara said that if Jittlov's so much of a wizard of speed and time, he should have just run them up here himself. We theorize that Yngvar might have in this scenario emailed Mike to ask about the posters, and Mike would have replied, "Have you checked the hall closet?"

So we get to mail Yngvar his posters all the way to Norway. And we're sending him home right about when he'd finally gotten acclimated to our time zone, too. Whee! ;)

But anyway, public kudos to Yngvar for being a great houseguest! Like we told you face to face, it was good to have you with us. :)

I am loving the management of greatbigsea.com right now. They've set up this new thing by which members of the band's mailing list get to have an early crack at tickets for the 2006 tour shows--and the pre-sale for the Seattle show at the Moore on 2/11/2006 is today. I just scored me two tickets, and didn't have to go through Ticketmaster. WOOT! And now, a new countdown!
