kathrynt and llachglin is that Erik's sister with the brain tumor has had a successful surgery and that they're QUITE sure they got all the tumor out, and that they were awaiting the word on a biopsy.
I don't remember when my mother was originally diagnosed with her brain tumor, but I remember its aftereffects all too vividly: the epileptic seizures she had for the rest of her life. Just even being the friend of folks whose sister is going through this kind of thing makes me twitch and I am relieved beyond words to hear that all signs are pointing to Erik's sister being well.
