More and more of my German is coming back to me

The German class I'm taking at the UW's Experimental College isn't exactly challenging me — it's going at a pretty simple pace. But I am finding that it's reminding me a lot of how to say random simple things, coming up out of the back of my memory from high school. Hopefully this trend will continue, as I get this chick Inga I met online via our mutual TOFOG fandom to help me out with my German in email. Tonight, I have written her a fairly decent-length little email, though it took me a considerable amount of time to write it because I had to look up something for practically every sentence I wrote; it was particularly challenging to figure out how to say that I'd been laid off last October. I'm about ninety percent sure I sound fairly decent all in all in that email, though! :)
