More to the point, not entirely sure that's relevant to the plot at hand? It might be a interesting background detail if they choose to reveal it at some point, but right now at least, I'm more interested in how he relates to Sauron at large if he's not actually Sauron himself. The story seems to be going in a direction of his being an active rebel against Sauron's dominance, but one who just happens to want to set a land on fire for the orcs to live in.

I did a quick check in the Appendices, and there is no mention of the Avari. I don't know if Amazon would have the rights to that--since they are mentioned in HoME and the Silmarillion, which they have no rights upon. They can, however, say Adar was a corrupted Elf.

I'm mostly curious to see how Sauron would react when he'd learn Mount Doom's lava and ashes aren't as hot as a regular volcano. :b

Maybe Sauron is taking his time to show up because he mysteriously can't travel using super jet speed unlike Galadriel, NĂºmenĂ³reans & co.
