Ordinary Day

I've been a Branagh fan since about 1994. I saw his Hamlet five times in the theater (for four of them I drove from Tacoma to Seattle because I couldn't wait for it to come to Tacoma's lonely art house), and there was a time when I was watching Much Ado About Nothing once a week whether I needed to or not [g] (I can still quote you great chunks of the dialog). I've been on the Branagh mailing list since the days when it was a simple "reply all" group without even a hint of listserv software, let alone Yahoogroups, where it now resides. Oh, and the first time I went to the UK, I went to Blenheim Palace because that's where the exteriors for Hamlet were filmed (although the history and architecture were interesting, too), and I hiked clear out to Shepperton Studios (about a mile and a half past the farthest tube station), because that's where most of the interiors of his films were filmed. Not that they let me in to look around or anything, but I do have a photo of the sign...

So, yeah, major fan here. Never met him in person, though.

And I'm thinking about going to see Thor again, this time in 2D.
