Date: 2011-03-23 01:53 am (UTC)I quickly figured out, however, that I could not give this one to my dad -- he's a big fan of this kind of adventure/romance novel, but her inclusion of abysmally wrong gun details would send him off on a week-long rant, and I don't have time for the 3 hour-long phone calls that would ensue. I don't expect every romance author to be an expert on this sort of thing, but I do think that if you care enough about the kind of gun your heroine wields to specify a model, you could damn well spend 15 seconds with Google to verify that said model actually exists: there is not, and never has been, a Glock .44.
