Droopycat is droopy

annathepiperFirst day back at work, today. As expected, I spent most of it mightily striving not to faceplant in the keyboard. Actual work was accomplished, but only with the aid of caffeine, Aleve, and ibuprofen. I'm rationing what's left of the Oxycodone; I have enough of the current round of prescription to last me through the weekend and I'm saving it for when I need it most, i.e., when I get home from work, and when I'm about to go to bed.
But man, it was a tough slog at work today. I am at least for the nonce back off the soda ban, just because I am going to damn well need the caffeine for a while to function at work. I will at least attempt to keep to one soda in the morning, one after lunch.
On a related note, I did have my second saline fill yesterday as well. Let's just say that this entire process feels extremely weird; meanwhile, I asked Dr. McMillan if she has a ballpark idea of how many fills I'll need. She doesn't, yet. Though it's fairly likely that I'll be at this at least until the end of the year.
She also says that my incisions are looking good, though she had to do a bit of draining of fluid buildup in my back. And she's got me wearing an ace bandage around my middle to try to encourage tissue layers to properly settle in. Which is actually kind of helpful, at least as long as the bandage is tight enough and stable enough--because it helps me roll out of bed when I wake up.
Right now moving at certain angles is just weird and awkward. I feel fairly normal on the left, but on the right, where my arm has less muscle now to accomplish the same level of day to day activity, I'm continuing to feel as if that side's getting a tiring workout. Hopefully this will level out soon.
It did not help matters much either that the weather was full of Suck on the way home, all cold and drizzly and gray--in fact, I felt like I really needed my full coat. I suppose I'll have to break that out tomorrow, since it is October now. And it doesn't help much either that the news is also full of Suck.
This weekend, I plan to console myself with Jam on Sunday, and with the shiny new release of Cinematic Titanic's latest episode, Legacy of Blood. I recommend hefty doses of both Music and Funny for all.
