Two words here, people: SEVENTH HEAVEN. The only way this could get any better is if I'd have been there to see it.

In other news, my friend Lou (Luthien on the OKP and the one I went to the Arch with) made it to the HOB show in Atlantic City and she finally got to meet the elusive Mr. McCann! And there were hugs and kisses received, apparently. Those St. John's b'ys are kissy lads.

Lou says June 24th for the album and August/September for tour, as per Sean. I will be road-tripping to shows this time. No questions about that. We'll just have to see where in the country the trip(s) take me.

(Maybe up to the Northwest? I think I could handle that one ;))

Hah, so the release is confirmed, yay! I expect that may actually mean the 31st for a US release...? Guess we'll find out! And I figure about a month after Indy IV is about right. I should be done swooning over Harrison by then.

And if you do get to come up here for GBS, that would be awesome and I would totally stake out Stage Séan with you. :D

Scream, squee, shriek, and various other noises that all translate to "ZOMG ALAN AND RUSSELL SINGING TOGETHER AND BOB FIDDLE SOLO AND THERE'S BARRY FROM CARBON LEAF EEEEEEEE!"

I have decided that Russell now needs to take the next two years off from movies and tour with GBS. I'll even let him put off arranging a Master and Commander sequel. Because I am a GENEROUS PERSON! ;)

Lou said she asked Sean about the typical difference in a Canadian/US release and he seemed to think there wasn't going to be any difference. Then again, he was also apparently pretty tipsy by that point of the evening, so who knows! LOL

Here's hoping that maybe I get the opportunity to come up there for a show. It'd be great to meet you and see the b'ys at the same time.

*chortle* Let me rephrase: I'll still be Harry-swooning, but it will have died down enough that GBS-album-swooning will have no trouble whatsoever eclipsing it. ;)

And har! re: tipsy Sean, but assuming that he is correct, it'll be nice to not have to wait a week!

I am so many shades of jealous right now, and I'm not even sure who to direct them at. We definitely need to make plans for upcoming GBS attendance this summer, however. It has been far, far too long since I've seen those b'ys in person. They probably don't even remember me anymore. Maybe if they do Portland this year we can all meet in the middle.

Also, did you happen to take note that the Crowe is long-haireded again? All over the place with the hairs! And he did not look nearly so bloated as he was beginning to be when last I caught sight of him! Yea for in-shape, long-haireded, Cort-ly Crowes!

I did indeed note the long wavy hair upon The Crowe. Last I knew he was growing it out for the Sheriff of Nottingham movie he's going to do.

Portland has crossed my mind, actually--possibly in connection with a Powell's trip. We'll have to see what the tour schedule looks like as well as my and Dara's finances this summer. :)

Definitely! I'm thinking, if necessary, and if my father still has it at that point, people could stay in his camper/motorhome thingie. IIRC it has two benches that fold down to make a queen-sized bed, and then a bunk up near the ceiling over the storage area at the back. The storage area can also accommodate a queen-sized air mattress, IIRC. It also has it's own bathroom, complete with shower/bath, which was even hooked up to the house water last I was there. Not to mention the little kitchenette.

Also, a trip to Portland would definitely require a Powell's trip, since I haven't been there in years.

Eh, don't make any plans of that nature yet; we don't know if the B'ys will hit Portland, much less when (though it's certainly likely they will, given past tour history). Much will depend on the scheduling of a Portland show. If it's on a school night, for example, especially during the middle of the week, solarbird and I wouldn't be able to come down.

But we'll see how the schedule works out. :) It'll be a bit yet before we see any tour dates announced; the album isn't out until late June anyway, so likely tour dates will be in July and August and September.
