New haircut!

So as part of the mad frantic rush to get ready to go to Japan, solarbird and I decided that we need our hair in a state that won't embarrass us when overseas. With this lofty goal in mind, I told the stylist this afternoon to make it short, cute, and low maintenance. It also helped that I was in a mode of "okay tired of all the tangles in my hair now".

The result is this, which oddly enough looks a lot like the last short haircut I had. Which was in fact the last haircut I had at all, which was for my Google interview in December of 2005. So I've just lost another nearly two years' worth of hair.

And, it looks a little more like my icon now. Hee.

Well, it's a lot shorter than it was, that's for sure, and thank you! :) And yeah, I love having hair that I can just whip a brush through and call good.

Now I can do Alan Hair Flips. This makes me happy. Hee. :)

Considering I lost over a foot of hair, by comparison, this is short!

Also, a buzz cut would totally NOT look good on me. :)

Like her current, only shorter. She asked whether she ought to go short, and the girl who did her hair advised specifically against it due to the thickness of Dara's hair--guessing that if she cut it too short, it'd stick right out, kind of like Roseanna Rosanna Danna on Saturday Night Live. ;)

And thank you! I'm pretty happy with it overall, though it's short enough now that the ends of it get right in my face if my hair gets blown around at all. Heh.
