Date: 2007-07-02 10:27 pm (UTC)I haven't had a problem with the head-hopping thing in a while, though I bet that if I went and reviewed my old writing from school, I'd find examples of it. I suspect that the first thing I finished being exclusively in first person got me into the habit of being solidly in one character's head at any given time. :)
Hrmm. Part of me wants to also compare it to MUSH experience, since you do pose in your character's head exclusively at any given time--but then, MUSH experience can also work against you, if you're used to thinking in terms of a big scene with multiple characters all having glimpses into their heads.
