chipmunck has relayed to me, courtesy of kathrynt, an English copy of Susanna Kearsley's Mariana! This book is the one I couldn't find for ages and ages, and up till now I had it on my shelf strictly because I'd found a German translation of it at Barnes and Noble. Which, y'all might recall, I had intended to try to translate my way through and just never have, due to general lameness. Now I can actually, like, y'know, read the book. THANK YOU, STEPHANIE! :) That was incredibly cool of you.
Meanwhile,spazzkat's good friend nykitsune sent solarbird and me a care package full of cookies! I am informed that she does not read LJ that often and so I will also be sending her separate thank you email, but OMG COOKIES. Thank you too, Melissa!
