solarbird told me at one point that she believed that the extended editions of the LotR flicks, at least in the cases of Two Towers and Return of the King. Fellowship, not so much. Dara sez she really prefers the extended Return of the King and that Two Towers is helped with the Boromir footage, but for her, Fellowship's additions didn't do much.

Me, I think I prefer the extended versions of all three, and I'd definitely pay money to see all of them on the big screen at some point. There are some local theaters who'd periodically run them, too, I recall!
