Mostly about the books
Jun. 2nd, 2006 11:23 amFirst and foremost, huge congratulations to
shadowhwk, whose very first e-book is now available for online purchase and download! Go Sarah! :) :) I will be buying and downloading a copy when I get home to my computer.
Second up, I have chugged through Anne Perry's fourth William Monk novel, A Sudden, Fearful Death, and
naominovik's third Temeraire novel, Black Powder War. Comments will be forthcoming over the weekend. I'm now working on Elizabeth Lowell's Always Time to Die.
My expedition to Target was successful, and now I have several more pairs of summer-weight pants with which to get through the last few days of my contract. (Today, my pants are dark blue. I mention this mostly because they go stunningly well with my pink Great Big Sea shirt and socks in shades of blue and purple, as well as my hat! I feel all colorful and coordinated and stuff.)
solarbird got to purchase some cute clothing as well, and last but not least, we ate out at a Thai place in downtown Bothell to celebrate
spazzkat's official acquisition of a JOB!
Looking forward to the weekend, even though I have to take the cat to the vet for her bi-annual old lady kitty exam. But, weather permitting, there will also be biking to Woodinville to see X3. And reading! And watching Doctor Who! And writing!
Friday is good.
Wednesday evening miles: 2.4
Thursday miles: 4.0
Friday morning miles: 1.6
Miles out of Hobbiton: 1087.15
Miles out of Rivendell: 629.15
Miles out of Lothlórien: 167.15
Miles to Rauros Falls: 221.85

Date: 2006-06-02 08:39 pm (UTC)At the very least, I will have to sing this thing for you if we meet up at the GBS show at Bumbershoot. :D

Date: 2006-06-02 10:23 pm (UTC)But perhaps you can still see one of the other GBS shows that weekend, since there will be a plethora of them!

Date: 2006-06-04 10:11 pm (UTC)Hrmmm. It would seem to imply to me that if GBS is playing Vancouver on Saturday night in the evening (around 7pm, I believe), they will be playing Bumbershoot at the very least in the late afternoon or early evening, since they will have to have time to get down there, get fed, get set up, have a sound check, etc.
This might still be doable. :D
