fleetfootmike asked to be left out of any filter under which I might post Serenity spoilers. I had not actively planned to make a filter, but that is such a good idea that I'm going to go ahead and do that.

The default for this filter will be that you will NOT, repeat, NOT be included. If you would like to be on my about-to-be-created Serenity filter, please drop a comment on this post!

They did indeed! ;) It was just a cruise out into the Sound and back, but it was an actual ship-based ship party! (Though I'm unclear about whether or not the Lady Mary is big enough to qualify as a 'ship' as opposed to a 'boat'. I'm not possessed of enough nautical clues. But there were two decks, anyway!)

The whale-watching cruise I went on for a ship party back in the days when I worked for Attachmate was way cooler, but this at least was good for the 'out on the water in the fresh air and sunshine' part.
