No news is good news

Though I have to keep reminding myself that no matter how badly I want to hear from Luna, they are NOT likely to get back to me for at least another few weeks. In fact, I will be extremely astonished if I hear from them before Writer's Weekend commences next week!

So I'm all about the distracting of myself with writing pitches for Lament, and shaking off the last of the lassitude left over from the Great Bike Journey. Tonight's exercise wasn't nearly so ambitious: just a few workouts with a ten-pound weight, just to try to get myself back in the habit. I'm hoping to start varying treadmill and weights workouts this summer, as I had once done in the days of yore. For the last month or so my weight loss resolve has taken a bit of a hit--another casualty of the Mad Editing Marathon. I'm still wobbling between 162 and 164. So I need to get back into some exercising again, to try to make those numbers start going back down.

I am still working my way through Angel-Seeker, and hope to have that knocked out in a few more days. Once I do, I shall provide due commentary on it and Angelica, for kathrynelaraine!

Then, then, THEN it shall be mizkit's Urban Shaman! And although I've already said it over on her journal, it bears repeating, so I'll say it again here: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIT!

I don't know about you, but I adore Sharon Shinn. I'm always surprised that she's not some grossly huge bestseller, because she SHOULD BE, durnit.

Sharon Shinn is fabulous. I do not quite want to be her when I grow up like I want to be Julie Czerneda, but I have enjoyed each and every one of Ms. Shinn's books. :)

Ug, I soooo understand the waiting part. You keep telling yourself, hey, not for at least a couple more weeks, but every day, there is still that hope.

And now I get three different queries to fret about at once! Joy oh glee! ;) It'll be at least another few days, I think, before the new packets I've set out with the first three chapters of Faerie Blood make it to the agents I've talked to. We'll see what happens.

And I still owe you that Sharon Shinn post. I'm still being laggardly on finishing Angel-Seeker; perhaps I'll just have to go ahead and do a post on Angelica!
