These two sessions for Kendis were basically all about trying to beat down her side quests on the quest journal. Highlights: re-running Bleak Falls Barrow, having a brawl with Elrindir, killing a dragon at Autumnwatch Tower, killing another dragon at Bonestrewn Crest, fetching Wylandriah’s remaining items and returning them to her, and last but not least, acquiring some Daedric mail!

Kendis’ second session was standard “starting off a Skyrim game” action–i.e., going to Bleak Falls Barrow. But given that this is a run with Survival Mode on, this played out rather differently than it’s done in my prior playthroughs!

Harrow’s second session is still holding pretty well to my usual startup of a Skyrim playthrough, just for the sake of getting through the parts that are absolutely required to get a game going. So in this session, I finished Bleak Falls Barrow, returned to Whiterun, killed Mirmulnir at the Western Watchtower, and was made thane of Whiterun.
Also, observed a lot of things that were a result of the mods!

Welcome to the very first official post for Harrowhark the Imperial’s run through Skyrim! This is my seventh official Skyrim playthrough, and it’s my first using more than just the USSEP for mods. I’m using 75 total mods in this playthrough, and so commentary for it will include a lot of observation about what the mods do to the world in general.
This will also be a playthrough in which I’ll be targeting playing as a vampire, a necromancer, and a member of the Dark Brotherhood.

My wife Dara found out about Skyrim Together Reborn, a mod that allows you to play Skyrim in a group with your friends, and as soon as she and I knew about this we knew it was a thing we wanted to try. So did Dara’s friend Mel, who has better Internet than we do, and who was therefore able to host a server.
Last night, we tried a playthrough session together and it turned out to be pretty frigging hilarious. 😀

Meanwhile, in the parallel Skyrim universe where Shenner the Nord is running her own journey as Dragonborn, this session featured more experimenting with my PC playthrough. And getting Shenner through Bleak Falls Barrow!

This was a short-ish session in terms of actual play time; most of the energy I spent here was in trying to adjust the graphics settings on my PC, to see if I could figure out how to get rid of the weird striping shadows problem I was seeing. Answer: yes!

Now we’re getting the game underway in earnest, with Ysani Demers making it through investigating Bleak Falls Barrow and returning to Whiterun–only to have a huge surprise when she’s called upon to help fight off a dragon at the Western Watchtower.
Surprise, Ysani! You’re Dragonborn! Or, rather, “Enfant de dragon!”

Since I wasn’t in the mood to delay between my first Skyrim run ever and my next playthrough, I went ahead and fired up a brand new character last night!
